Samsung Corby CDMA
Samsung NC10 (US$ 440):
Samsung And MSI Expand Netbook Color Range
Dell, Acer and Lenovo are already ahead of Samsung and MSI when it comes to a range of colors for their netbooks. Good thing the two companies lagging behind in this department are doing something about the situation, offering a blue Samsung NC10 netbook while MSI will be offering its Wind U100 in a limited edition red model that will be available only in Taiwan at launch, although it ought to surface in other countries down the road. Personally, we feel that it won't hurt the company to expand the range of colors from the very beginning - after all, power to the consumer, right?

Samsung really gives Acer and Asus a run for their money - Some reviewers have mentioned that it beats the Acer Aspire One. I feel that that $100 price difference between the new 10″ Acer Aspire One and the Samsung NC10 really put them in a different category. Acer Aspire One for low priced, yet great netbook. And Samsung NC10 or NC10 Special Edition for slightly higher priced, great netbook. They’re both superstar netbooks.

Samsung NC10 Netbook compared with Samsung N120
Samsung came out with the at the end of last year. We take a look how the NC10 netbook still fairs compared to the recently unveiled.
Description
The Samsung NC10 features a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB
Samsung has given a 6-cell battery to the NC10, which has a life of up to 6-hours. This netbook is also characterized by a 10.2-inch display and integrated webcam. Its ergonomic keyboard is a 93-percent scaled down version of a standard keyboard. The raised keys and outstanding key positioning make NC10?s keyboard very special.
However, Samsung had to compensate a bit too much with its touchpad to accommodate the spacious keyboard. Its touchpad is comparatively small at 2.3 x 1.1 inches. Its measurements are a highly manageable 10.3 x 7.3 x 1.2 inches and it only weighs 2.8 pounds.
Comparison
We compare the NC10 to the newer Samsung N120 netbook. The keyboard of the Samsung NC10 at 93% of full-size keyboard is less spacious than the 97% of full-size keyboard of the Samsung N120.
The larger keyboard of the N120 gives users increased comfort while typing. The NC10 also has a smaller touchpad than the N120.
The of 6-hours of the NC 10 is less than the 7.5 hours provided by the N120. However, unless the two netbooks are performing the same tasks, battery lives cannot be compared convincingly.
The measurements of 10.3 x 7.3 x 1.2 of makes NC10 thinner on most parts compared to the N120, whose measurements are 10.71" x 7.4" x 1.17". Both the netbooks weigh 2.8 pounds. Both of them also feature a 10-inch LED screen, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD and a 1.3MP camera.
The Samsung NC10 is offered in a variety of colors including white, pink, black, and blue whereas the N120 is offered in just two colors ? white and black.
There is actually now price difference anymore between the NC10 and the N120. Both sell now at $399.99. Just two weeks ago the N120 was still at $460.
Verdict
The above comparison shows that the Samsung NC10 is actually still holding up with the new N120. The keyboard and touchpad of the N120 are bigger.
If you want to type a lot of text than the N120 is sure the better choice. If you just want to use your netbook mostly for surfing and writing occasional emails you go and pick a stylish color with the NC10.
Samsung announces two new netbooks
Netbook sales are booming as consumers buy the low cost machines in droves. The only real issue that goes along with using a netbook rather than a full notebook is that the keyboards tend to be smaller on netbooks and the machines lack the power that full notebooks have.
Samsung has announced a pair of new netbooks called the N110 and the N120. The two machines share some of the same features including an Intel Atom N270 CPU running at 1.6GHz, Windows XP Home, 1GB of RAM, a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 LED backlit LCD, and a 160GB HDD.
Samsung NC20 netbook now available in US
Newegg is the first retailer to list Samsung’s 12-inch NC20 netbook. It is being sold at $550 and it seems other retailers are about to follow the suit soon.
NC20 is the largest netbook in Samsung’s range and features a VIA Nano processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Windows XP Home, Bluetooth, card reader.
Samsung NC10 Netbook Now Available Online
We have read about the before. The good news is, It’s now available in the US!
The model available is the NC10-14GW, which features Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory, Intel’s integrated graphics, a 160GB hard drive, 6-cell battery, 1024×600 display, and Windows XP operating system. You could get this machine on and for $489.99 and $499 respectively. Only the white color version is available at this moment.
Samsung NC10 Netbook in New Colors
We have seen the rather impressive performance for the, especially the battery life. Now Samsung has added 2 new colors to the netbook to make it even more attractive to buyers. In addition to the original white version, Samsung NC10 netbook is now available in black and two-tone blue version!
We are digging the look of the black version of NC10.. The lid, chassis, keyboard and trackpad are all black, with the silver accents on the side panels and hinges remaining, which looks pretty cool, we think.
Samsung NC20 To Be Launched on February 2009
While the Samsung NC10 is still fresh on the market, the company is already planning to release another 12-inch netbook called NC20 on February 2009.
