Although not quite as small as the, the Samsung NC10 surely outperforms the pocket-sized fit-PC. Running Windows XP, highlights of the NC10 include: 1.6GHz Atom Processor, up to 1GB of RAM, 10.2-inch SuperBrite non-glossy LED display (1024 x 600), up to 160GB hard drive, 1.3 megapixel camera, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Ethernet LAN, and Bluetooth. The Samsung NC10 is being marketed as a “netbook” (or UMPC), especially with its ultra light weight of just under 3 pounds (1.33 kg). Other features the Samsung NC10 has up its sleeves are: an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 graphics core, an eight hour battery life (6-cell battery), 3 in 1 memory card reader (SD, SDHC, MMC), 3 built-in USB ports, and an anti-bacterial keyboard which is sprinkled with naano-sized silver ion powder making it inhospitable for germs. The NC10 also has Samsung’s “Protect-o-Edge” chassis, which adds durability and a little bit of ruggedness to the casing — able to survive temperature, electrical, and physical abuse.
The Samsung NC10 should hit the European market in October 2008 for “up to” £329 (approx. $600 USD).

The Samsung NC10 will be available from October this year in European countries including UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Netherlands, and also in Russia, China, Hong Kong and Korea.

Netbook sales are booming as consumers buy the low cost machines in droves. The only real issue that goes along with using a netbook rather than a full notebook is that the keyboards tend to be smaller on netbooks and the machines lack the power that full notebooks have.
