Ever since the evolution of desktop computers and laptops, the research and development of these systems has been going on for a more reliable and stable system. Lenovo has been a pioneer in this industry and has come up with some of the world’s finest desktop and laptops. A very new addition, though not the latest, has been the Lenovo Ideapad S10. The invention of this “ultra portable laptop” has brought a revolution in the small budget notebooks sector.
Among the other compact notebooks in this category, there are some features that help the Lenovo achieve a top ranking. The first would be its price. Priced at almost $439, this addition has made Lenovo accessible to all. Branded as it is, the price brings the laptop to almost everyone. The other features are -1.6 GHz N270 Intel Atom processor, 1GB DDR2 SDRAM 667 MHz with Windows XP SP3 (Home Edition). The laptop has even a 1024X600 camera with its 10.2”WSVGA antiglare TFT. It comes with an in-built hard disk of 160 GB 4-in-1 media card reader. The weight of the complete system is only 2.64 lbs, inclusive of the battery.
Though all the notebook in this category is the same, Lenovo has managed to include some extra ordinary features which makes it unique. The white pearl-like plastic has a little of a glossy instinct, thus giving a metallic shine to the notebook. The keyboard is more durable and also has a minor bit of flexibility. The laptop is built with mostly with plastic, but they are strong enough to sustain tossings and shocks.
The most effective feature about the Lenovo Ideapad S10 is the upgrade feature. It is the easiest when it comes to upgrade the notebook. The upgrade is hassle-free, with nothing like complex disassemblies and upgrade slots. The keyboard and the touchpad are very strongly integrated inside the laptop. Since there is very little space, therefore the keys do not dance around much, giving the user a strong grasp on the keys. The touchpad buttons are also placed in a very nice, satisfactory manner and give the satisfaction of being clicked. The screen size is 10.2” with Antiglare TFT. The screen gives a nice and vibrant look to the pictures with superior colors and rich contrast. The matte surface on the screen blocks glare and reflection and makes outdoor reading more convenient. The design is sleek and compact, as in notebooks, but with the extra port capabilities, it makes the Lenovo Ideapad S10 a much more preferred choice. At the front, there are no ports, just the indicator lights and the speakers. For those who are considering buying a new laptop for regular travelling and outside usage, this would be the best deal.
